Rosco is a true vaudeville entertainer, and an unforgettable character who has been creating memories for families for the past 30 years.

The Rosco Family Fun Show is filled with rapid-fire kid-friendly jokes, funny magical moments, dancing with the audience and creative skits where kids (and a few adults) become the stars of the show. The Rosco Show is appropriate and entertaining to kids of all ages, and once you have had Rosco at your library, families will be requesting him year after year.

Rosco has spent many years as the “face” of Macomb County's Literacy Program. He has been responsible for encouraging thousands of Michigan children to read with his Rosco's Read To Me Show. This reading show is also available for your library, and ties in with reading month or Summer Reading Program activities.

Rosco's Reading Show: “Read To Me”

Rosco is also available to perform his Read To Me Show, which includes messages for kids and their parents about the importance of reading. The show features all of Rosco's signature humor and fun, with the addition of special props and routines geared towards the reading messages. As the spokesperson for the Macomb Literacy Program for many years, Rosco knows all about the importance of encouraging a passion for reading at a young age.

Additional Show Facts

• The show can run 30-45 minutes, depending on your audience and event needs.

• In addition to a stage show, Rosco is also frequently hired by children's librarians to do a strolling “meet and greet” at Summer Reading Program kickoffs and special events. This allows Rosco to mingle with the audience, make balloon sculptures and keep everyone entertained.

• He brings everything he needs for his shows, including a sound system that is built into his customized rolling performance “wagon”.
