Our teen library workshop program, The Wizard School Workshop, is designed to let teens try their hand at learning some fun and amazing magic tricks that they can do. This program debuted in 2009 and was a key event in successful teen library programs in Michigan and Illinois. The Wizard School Workshop will be returning in 2011 with expanded availability to allow more Michigan libraries, Ohio libraries, and libraries in Illinois to be able to add this activity to their teen summer reading schedule.

Discounts & Grants For MI, OH, or IL Libraries

Library Summer reading program participation continues to grow at libraries across Michigan and other Midwest states, while library programming budgets are shrinking. We strive hard to keep our regular performance fees affordable to as many libraries as possible. By scheduling your entertainment through our office, you can be guaranteed you will be quoted the lowest fee available for that show. We are not an agency or artist management company, so we do not "mark up" our entertainer's fees. Additionally, we offer "no hassle" pricing for all our programs. There are never any additional travel fees, lodging expenses, or hidden costs involved with booking one of our shows.

Here are a few ways your Michigan, Ohio or Illinois library can get significant discounts off the regular performance fees of our youth library programs throughout the year:

Block Booking Discounts
Our best discounts are available to Michigan libraries, Ohio libraries, and Illinois libraries who can coordinate block booking multiple performances by the same entertainer with other librarians in their district or region. The more libraries you can get to block book, the lower the performance fee for every show. This is an easy way to save up to $200 off each show.

Date Flexibility
If you are flexible with the dates you can schedule the performance, we can often offer you discounts for dates where the entertainer may already be traveling through your area for another show or event.

Multiple Performer Booking Discounts
When you hire more than one of our entertaining youth or teen library presenters during the year, we will be happy to offer a reduced fee for each program you schedule.

Grants for Libraries in Michigan and Ohio
Several of our entertainers are approved for the Michigan Arts and Humanities grant program. Occasionally, we also have companies who provide us with grant money to help offset the cost of bringing our programming into smaller community libraries in central and northern Michigan as well as Northwestern Ohio. Illinois libraries may also be able to apply for state and local grant money for one of our programs. If we know of grant money available for a program you are interested in, the booking representative will be sure to let you know when you call.
